I found this box a few years ago at Goodwill. It was covered in rust, stains, and worn-away paint. You know, fun stuff. It was destined to hold the collection of paintbrushes I spent too much money on in college. It looks like a military footlocker, but I haven’t been able to find another one like it. Judging by the writing on it, I would guess it’s connected to Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
It has a cool mechanism that opens the inside compartments in sync with the main lids. I wanted to flex my rigging skills by making a model that does the same thing. Setting up those hinges was tricky. There are parts that are a combination of point constraints and frame-by-frame set driven keys.
